One Host, One Number
We quote one price to one person. That person is the host. The group can Venmo that person on Tuesday. We will not run a cashier line at the door while eight people argue about who invited the plus-one.

The split is a group-chat problem. The quote is a phone problem. Don’t mix them at the door.
What You Are Splitting
A performance is a 45 to 90 minute clock. Staffing is hours. They are not the same invoice. Groups try to average a dancer and a bartender into “the entertainment number” and then get angry when the bartender will not dance. Split each job, or pick one job.
Drinks, ice, the house, the Uber. those are your night, not ours. Don’t fold them into our quote and then wonder why the per-person number looks like a club table. It should not. You are paying for a person in a room, not bottle service.

Headcount Lies
Twelve people said yes on Sunday. Nine land. One brings a stranger. Split among the people who confirmed money, not among the screenshot of the chat. If you re-split at the door, you will start late and start ugly.
Headcount also changes the booking. One dancer in a villa of forty is the wrong product. Two dancers for six people in a den is also the wrong product. Tell us the real number so the quote matches the room. Meet the Dancers is for names, not for padding the split with people you will not book.
Don’t use the split to shop a cheaper line in secret. If the group voted for a show and the host quietly books hostesses to save twenty dollars a head, the night will feel like a lie because it is one. House Rules That Touch Money

What Not to Put in the Split
Don’t put tips you have not given. Don’t put a second performer you have not booked. Don’t put the Airbnb, the boat, and the dancer on one spreadsheet cell labeled “fun.” When the cell blows up, the dancer becomes the villain of a night they have not entered.
Don’t collect “about two hundred each” without a quote. About is how you short the host at the door. Get the number, then divide. If the number is higher than the group will pay, shrink the booking on the phone. fewer performers, staffing instead of a set, a Thursday instead of a Saturday. before anyone Venmos a fantasy.
Don’t use IOUs. The host should not float eight friends and then chase them while a performer waits in a hallway. If someone cannot pay the host by Friday, they are not in the split and they don’t get a vote on the roster.
Travel and parking are not our invoice. If the house is far and the quote includes travel, that travel is part of the one number. Split the one number. Don’t itemize our job like a catering packet you found online.
Two bookings are two numbers. Afternoon staff and a night set should be collected as two lines or as a sum you already agreed. Mixing them into “entertainment” is how a bartender gets asked to dance to “make it worth it.”
If the group wants names from the roster, say so before you collect. Specific people on a Saturday are not a coupon. Collect for the job we can actually cover, then stop shopping.

A Worked Split
Eight people. Saturday. One dancer, 60 minutes, house in the county. Host calls Monday, gets a quote Tuesday morning, divides by eight, collects by Thursday. Two people drop. The host does not re-trade the booking down at the door. The six who remain cover what they already committed, or the host eats two shares because that was the risk of being host. The performer is paid the quote, on arrival, once.
If the quote had been too high on Tuesday, the host would have called back and asked what a bartender shift costs, or what a Thursday costs, or what one performer costs instead of two. That conversation belongs on the phone, not in a driveway.
Don’t screenshot our quote into a chat titled “chip in or you’re out” with twenty people who were never coming. The chat should be the people in the split. Everyone else is noise.
If you want names, collect a little later in the week only after we confirm coverage. Collecting for a specific person we cannot send is how you refund your friends at midnight.
