Costume Is Not the Booking
Halloween is the one night of the year when a group will describe a look and think they have described a job. They have not. A witch hat on a dancer is wardrobe. A witch hat on a friend is a party. The booking is still either a timed set that stops the room, or staff who keep glasses full while the room talks.
If you want the room to watch, book a performance. If you want the room to keep circulating, book staff. If you want both, that is two arrival windows and two invoices. Asking one person to pour until midnight and then “do a little set” is how Halloween bookings end early.
The costume is the first thirty seconds. The middle of the night is still a show, or it is still a bar. Pick one on the call.

Two Lines, One Date
Performance bookings are adults only. Typical window is 45 to 90 minutes. Guests who did not sign up for a show should not be in the house — including the neighbor who “just came for a beer” and the cousin who brought kids because Halloween is for kids in their family. If children will be anywhere in the unit, you are not on the performance line.
Staffing runs hours, not a cue. Topless Bartenders work a bar you stock. Bikini waitresses move trays. Both are adult-party staffing, still not a show. Party Hostesses are fully clothed, no performance, no undress — the line that fits mixed-age lists, office parties that happen to fall on October 31, and houses that still have trick-or-treat traffic at the door.

Plenty of groups run hostesses through the early evening while costumes are still coming through the gate, then a dancer after the last child has left. Say that on the call so the windows do not collide in a hallway.
Looks are packed at booking. Halloween is not the night to invent a character at the door.
Looks We Actually Send
Referee, cheer, cop, maid, and seasonal Halloween pieces are the calls we get. Game-day houses that want the whistle without a league mark should read how referee and cheerleader costume shows actually run — same rule on Halloween: generic look, no franchise, no team logo on a jersey.
We do not send licensed characters, mascots, or anything that needs a studio’s permission. If your party is built around a movie, say the mood (dark, glam, comic) and leave the copyrighted name off the list. The performer is still a dancer or still staff. The mask does not change the terms.
- Say the look at booking. One word is enough: cheer, cop, maid, seasonal.
- No sports-franchise marks. Colors are fine. Logos are not.
- No celebrity likeness. We will not send someone “as” a famous person.
- Change space still required. A locked bathroom beats a hallway full of guests in costume.
Hotels and buildings do not care that it is Halloween. A suite that bans vendors on a Tuesday still bans them on October 31. If the desk already hates you, do not add a costume and hope. Houses and villas you control are the default.
October 31 vs the Saturday Beside It
Halloween falling mid-week splits the demand. Office groups want Thursday. Friend groups want the Saturday. Families with kids own the actual 31st until 8 p.m. in a lot of neighborhoods. If your show is adults-only, the Saturday nearest the date is usually the cleaner room. If your house will still have trick-or-treat at the door, book hostesses until that ends, or book another night.
Noise is worse on Halloween than on a random Saturday because every other unit is also throwing something. Condos that already sent a memo in September will enforce it. A house with a yard still has neighbors. Volume stays inside; the door stays a door. What You Provide
For a show: a room that can close, a surface that is not a bed if you want dancing, a speaker you control, and a bathroom with a lock. For bartenders and waitresses: alcohol, ice, glassware, a surface. Ice is the thing hosts get wrong in this climate even in late October. For hostesses: the same house, without the assumption that anyone undresses.
You do not provide a stage, a pole, or a fog machine unless you already own them and the building allows them. Fog and open flame are how hotel nights end with a sprinkler. Ask before you buy a machine.

Book fully clothed hostesses until that traffic is gone, or book another night. Dancers and bikini staffing are not a mixed-age product, including on October 31.
Do you send licensed movie characters?
No. Generic seasonal looks, referee, cheer, cop, maid. No studio characters, no celebrity likeness, no team logos.
Can we do this at a bar or a club?
